Pom likes us.

ESPN Predictor only gives us a 41% chance to won, however.

XU shoots the 3 ball at only 33% which is good for us since we defend it so poorly.

I feel pretty good about the match up

The log5 numbers are interesting. I like it, because unlike other simulations it actually shows a couple of upsets in the numbers.

Also had Gonzaga beating SJU, who has proven to be the toughest team from the conference for me to predict.

The ESPN simulation has us winning 41% of the time.

I think we're evenly matched but I think Xavier has the edge due to slight home court advantage and, more importantly, a better recent tournament history.  Seems they win the games they can and we haven't won a game where we weren't a very solid favorite since the Final 4 run.

Hobbes:  What's misunderstood about you?
Calvin:  Nobody thinks I'm a genius.

Losing DJ Kennedy is a pretty big blow to SJU.  Really feel for the kid as a senior..

Essentially a tossup game, it seems .... Pom like MU w/ 52% probability of winning while Nate Silver give MU only a 48% probability of the same.

The real question is what does Kenosha Warrior think of MU's chances? (I kid, I kid)

The game really is a good 1st round match-up.  Worthy of those 5/12 match-ups they love so much.  MU has a good chance to win this game, as does Xavier.  I like our position, if the team that played Providence and WVU shows up.  I don't like our position if the team that played UL shows up.

Looking forward to Friday and hopefully Sunday.
