Correct. Optimal timing is 24 hours between games to ref. But certainly never on the same day.

In years past, it always seemed like the assignments stayed pretty much the same for the first two days. Not sure how that is looking this year.

If this fiasco guarantees that Higgins and Burr won't officiate another game this year, then Rutgers suffering is well worth it. For the rest of us, anyhow.
