Anyone heading out to New York this week?  Any eating/drinking suggestions for MU fans while we are out there?

NYWarrior

will be there ... late to the game tomorrow but otherwise at all the BET games, I hope.

MU is hosting pre and post-game gigs at Lucy's Cantina ... Corner of 34th Street and 8th Ave., across the street from Madison Square Garden.

The area around MSG isn't full of memorable destinations but u are close enough to Chelsea and the Flatiron District.  If u have time - and the weather cooperates -- find an hour to walk the High Line, a new park based on a reclaimed railroad line.  That starts near Chelsea and ends in the Meat Packing District --- good places to explore.

Fullodds

I went out for the SHU 'game'. Bars in the immediate area of MSG are pretty average.  The area around 9th and 46th (a few blocks from team hotel-westin times square) has some good bars and restaurants. Go to 230 5th bar at 230 Fifth Avenue for a great rooftop view of the empire state building. More of a night club--no cover--great views of city.

Be there Tues-Friday, will stop in at Lucy's!

BW4M - merged this into the previous discussion for you.  Hope it helps...

Was there for the SHU game as well.  Wandered into this bar near Times Square, called BXL Cafe.  It's a Belgian place, and it is some of the most delicious beer I have ever had.  Small tap list, but everything from the service, to each beer having it's type of glass, just a great great place.   Here is the tap list:  http://bxlcafe.pregraphic.com/bxlcafe/drafts.php

Two locations,

BXL East
210 East 51st Street
New York, NY 10022

BXL Café
125 West 43rd Street
New York, NY 10036

ZFB has some 'goddesses' in Manhattan.  If you are feeling frisky between games and have $15 to $25, depending on your desires, send dude a PM.

Can barely write with that smokin' Carrie Underwood shot. Jeezus.

BE tournament was one of my best mancations ever. I'm going to Vegas for the NCAAs next week and it will never live up to the BET. After the games we went to two places, Cafe Wha? and Fat Black kitten Cat -- two live music places. I'm 43 and not into the house music/current rapper guy/Paris Hilton/gotta dress up-type club in the meat packing district. I remember an "epic" version of Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here at Cafe Wha? It's basically in a dungeon that has had Dylan, Hendrix, and Bill Cosby on its stage. Holds maybe 200. I remember getting back to the hotel at about 5 every morning. Pussycat was similar.

I like the dress and even the hair, but got damn that broad looks like a traditional Sam Cassell.  Maybe** a 3 or a 4.
