If you are watching the beginning of this game you can certainly see why Junior is our PG. Hes always in control and when he tries to push it up floor, hes still in control.

Buycks comes into the game and tries to push it when he didnt need to and almost gives them a break away but instead just an over and back. They get a 3. Then Buycks gets it again and makes a stupid lazy side to side pass...-5 in 2 possessions.

Get Jae in the game, and keep Junior at guard and lets roll.

Junior makes a questionable pass but a lucky bounce gets us the ball and then he finds gardner for a nice dish to make up for it. Now Jae going to the line on a up court dish. I like his vision.

Im really confident him and Otule will be major players next year. They are starting to gel together as well.

If Junior just shot more, I couldn't even tell you if he is a good or bad shooter, I can remember him shooting once with that three at UCONN, he could be real special.  Him and Gardner have a connection you can't teach, they both are two of the more creative ball players i've seen in a while

wheresthecake?

Back-to-back possessions with sick passes to Ox and Jae.  Very impressed with his court vision.  Always seems to put the ball right on target at the perfect time.  Keep it up Junior!!

Most definitely

PGsHeroes32

Good point on Gardner as well. He is very creative and has solid hands. With more experience and conditioning he could join Otule and really make a dangerous combo in the next couple of years with a pass first guard. Im excited.

Were playing pretty well so far today making a few mistakes and I am really getting tired of DJO slowing up in the break for an ATTEMPTED pull up only to be blocked because he SLOWED UP. Just shoot right away, pass or go hard to the whole. Anything but that.

Right on cue. Buycks back in at point up 14 and tries to push it into traffic...turnover

Cadougan is breaking loose this game.  Book it.  Couldn't happen to a better guy.  Lets not forget the sacrifice this kid made when he gave up a year of eligibility to help out the team last year.  If he keeps playing like this, we're all going to be wishing he kept that extra year!

Otule is a sophomore, and so is Junior.  If those two continue to work hard (and there's no reason why they'd stop working hard) we're going to be tough for a while.

PGsHeroes32

Junior with the turnover on a missed bump in the back and our offense is starting to struggle.

We need an outside game. DJO where is your shot?

Junior has 4 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 steals.

Buycks has no points, 3 turnovers and 3 rebounds.

MU playing much better with Junior on the floor and he actually looks faster than usual.  Best half of year for Junior.  Keep it going guys......

drewm88

Needs to start using his left hand on layups from that side of the hoop. Went with the right for at least the 2nd time just now. 1st was early on--miss followed up by an Otule dunk--and Buzz got right in his face afterward.

Just remember that Providence is a horrible, horrible transition defensive team.  Cadougan has excelled in the open court.  When we play teams that play good "D" and force us in a half court game and we are looking for offensive options,  all of a sudden Buycks doesn't look so bad and Cadougan is more limited.

nyg

Oh my god, our two point guards just threw away two easy backcourt passes on consecutive possessions.

When MU is up by 23, they have to keep it going, full throttle.

Those two passes were just lazy, brutal and the "we got the big lead" mode.  Buzz will just rip them for that.  Come on...

That three pointer against UCONN has completely changed the way Junior plays. I love his new found aggressiveness. It gives our offense the PG play they have desperately needed. If he keeps this up Marquette is going to be a big threat in the Big East tourney.

Junior as of right now has 10 pts, 10 assists, 2 steals, 2 TO's... shooting 3-5. I can deal with that as our point guard. Great game for him, he looked very smart and calm out there.

He or Otule should be the stud today

mug644

Was just wondering who the stud would be, Junior or Otule. Great to see Otule get points, but if Junior gets a double-double, especially with just two turnovers, I'd have to vote for him.

Junior all the way.  Set the tone early and we never looked back.

Otule really impressed me and is really important to this program.

Providence made our guys look all world with their terrible defense, our guys looked pretty solid though.

Keep it up fellas!

PGsHeroes32

Definitly Junior. Only concern from this game was our lazy passing for alot of it giving them some points.

Good to see we pounded them still.

Junior had his best game today.  Played with confidence.  Went to the hoop strong.  He looked a little like Butch Lee.  If he plays with confidence like today, Marquette will be very competitive.
