Sorry... I'm not buying the hype.  Believe me, I love the fact that a Friar set the BE single game record - not a dog, not a bird, not a fruit.  But there's no way the kid is going to repeat that performance.  Novak went unconscious against UCONN in 2005, but does anyone remember how many he scored the next game?  Hint... it wasn't 40.

You can't overlook Providence... not at home and especially not at this point of the season.  But MU has no excuse; in fact, I would personally look at a single-digit win as a minor disappointment (although I'd still take it).  Regardless of whether they've done enough to impress the committee, they need to prove to themselves that they belong in the Dance; otherwise, they'll get eaten alive in Denver, Tucson, or whatever other first-round site they get sent to that is 1500 miles away.

Providence must not only be destroyed, but they need to dominated on all fronts Sunday.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Smack them in the mouth from the onset and then step on their throats until 0:01 left on the clock in the 2nd.

Repeat for Cincy and SH.

Hope Brooks doesn't score 52 points.

You fellas come from Providence?  What are ya, delivering cannolis or somethin'?

Agreed.  PC shouldn't be in this game.  And MU can't afford to let them in it.

Full throttle boys!

Providence has no interest in playing defense, so MU should be able to hit 75 points no problem. And MU has more guys to throw at Brooks than Notre Dame.

I'd almost like to see Buzz try to slow it down a little bit and run quality offensive sets to really break their spirit.

We should beat Providence--we better--but other than DePaul, every BEast team is dangerous. If Brooks goes off for say 40, we will need to score at least 80. I sure hope that we do a better job on that guy than their last game' opponent.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

I suspect that MU should be favored by about 10 in that game.  And I expect 'em to cover.

I think this is correct.

PC really does nothing on the court defensively and it seems the conditions are nice for MU to get back to their offensive flow after a couple weeks of stuttering.

Brooks has scored under 20 only once in the Big East. He will get plenty against MU. But PC can do what UConn did last five minutes last night and allow Brooks (like Kemba) to do too much 1-on-1 which gets them in trouble.

Except for DPU, this is the team you want to face after a win like last night. Could give them the momentum they'll need in the battle against Midget Mick's boys.

I love your optimism Willie and Avalanche but If we happen to play DePaul in the first round of the BE Championship, I don't think Buzz will have forgotten last years gaffe and oh yeah, by the way, the Blue Demons have been competing recently as they beat Providence on the road, played Cincy and L'Ville tough (3&4 point losses) and almost took down Villanova, so let's keep them in the dangerous category.

Yes, we should beat Providence as MU should be riding a high that should contimue into Sunday's game. If it is a close game and Brooks is hot, Maybe Buzz will employ his "Kemba Walker doubling scheme" to try and get the ball out of his hands to see if Council can beat us. I'm looking forward to watching Otule battle it out with their bigs Dixon and Batts; maybe Gardner gets some PT to get them in foul trouble.
