I do not post here often but I am appalled at the lack of credit that Buzz is getting for his first few years at MU.  We have not missed a beat since Crean left and are potentially headed for a 6th straight NCAA appearance.  The positives far outweigh the negatives during Buzz's tenure:
1) Recruiting has dramatically improved (recall some of the individuals that our previous regime brought in!  I refuse to call out college players but think back to the end of our bench in the Crean years vs. today.  Night and day.)
2) We continue to consistently post double digit wins in the Big East.  This is an automatic NCAA birth and I believe we are on our way to 11 conference wins this year.
3) We run a clean program (very refreshing we don't have to worry about any allegations) and Buzz is a GREAT steward of this program.
4) Our non-conference schedule appears to be improving (I think there were rumors of adding another neutral site game next year but not sure the status of that right now)
5) We do not get blown out.  When was our last double-digit loss??  I know people will be up in arms about me saying close losses are ok but I'll stand on the positive side of this argument and believe that the close losses will turn in to wins in the very near future.(I think next year is going to be a turning point for this program).

I do not know why there are a few fans of this board who continually only look at the negatives after close losses and crush Buzz on this board but I am so tired of reading about it.  We are very lucky to have him and I look forward to I having him lead MU to great success in the future.

How about for once the posters on this board ban together and show Buzz some love rather than continued criticism.

Go MU!

Didn't we have a poll on this earlier today?  Someone start another poll in case we didn't

Because far too many people on this board seem to have forgotten how "young" this team really is and have deluded themselves into thinking that we'll just magically be better than last year's team despite our youth and relative inexperience. Add to that how strong the BEast is this year and the fact that we aren't loaded with 4 and 5 stars like UConn, Pitt, Syracuse and others.  Yet somehow we continue to play all the games against traditional powers like Duke far more competitively than we actually should be.....if many of them weren't looking through blue and gold lenses they'd have to agree....

Credit that tough play and team demeanor to coaching....and despite all the whining, this team is far better coached than in the previous administration...and they may lose due to being over matched but not due to effort....they always leave it all on the floor.

I bet Buzz appreciates that the fan base is passionate and does not settle for mediocrity and the NIT.   If he actually does look on here, I bet he understands what he sees and appreciates that the alternative is apathy.

exactly, he would appreciate this photo of his assistants trying to get him to change his defensive scheme. I'm sure he has a sense of humor.

Tonight... 80-68 in a game we were leading by 7 in the 2nd half at home.  Bad loss.

I don't know what team you've been watching but I've seen periods of lack of effort all year long. St Johns blew this game open in the second half by simply outhustling Marquette. That's been the biggest disappointment in this very disappointing season.
