How does ND only drop 3 by that loss?

Answer: Its ND.

“All men dream; but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act out their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible.” - T.E. Lawrence

Jason McCallum is the only one who gave MU a vote, at #22.
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.

Bear in mind that just because you're the tenth highest of the "others receiving votes" doesn't mean you're number 35.

For instance, what if there was unanimous agreement amongst the voters - regardless of the 25 teams for which they voted - that ________ was #26.  That team wouldn't even garner a single vote even though everyone agrees that they are #26.  If the pundits voted for 35 teams, there's no guarantee that MU would still be 35.

That said, it's nice that MU is getting some recognition, even if it is only one vote from Jason McCallum at #22.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Very well said. "Power Rankings" is a huge misnomer. There is a difference between a poll and a power rank.

This is just a private straw vote with no SOS, or statistical parameters. Because it ignores the actual AP poll rankings and ranks on the gut feels of who these voters think is better than the next (supposedly ignoring record or AP poll position--if you beleive them) its is called a "power ranking"....but it really is just a poll.

Hollingers NBA power ranking is statistically driven by a fairly complex math formula-- a legitimate power ranking method. The BCS combines voted poll rank with a statistical performance formula, and is a legit power rank. Baseball  lends itself to, and has many legit statistical rank formulas.

These  ESPN college BB "Power Rankings" should be renamed for what little they are, namely, an ESPN employee poll
I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.
