Not sure if you guys listened to the last two games but the last two games, there was a mention of "we play better defense after scoring" in both games.  There might be a hair of truth to that but I don't buy it.  I am watching every game and I thought Pitt's FG% was so high because it was their night.  They were hitting a whole bunch of shots that would typically not go in.  And with last night, I think ND low FG% was as simple as ND missing alot of open shots.  Does anyone put alot of weight to the thought of "playing better defense after a score".

Yes.  It cuts down and transition and allows a defense to set itself up.

I think this is a pretty cookie cutter comment that's using the belief that making a shot gives a team more time to set up their defense more so than if you were to miss the shot and have to get back to prevent the fast break.  I don't really see how you could say any one team is better at this idea than any other team.

You guys are pointing out the logical reason (which is totally right).  The announcers where making a point that you have "more hop to your step" after a made shot and play harder on the other floor.  That is what I am really disputing.

Ordinarily yes.  Not after DJO's dunk last night though.  He stood there for the crowd to acknowledge his dunk and ND inbounded the ball, raced up court and got a 3 pt. play out of it.

Correct on DJO...But even worse Butler and Buycks sprinted down the court on his heels and stood in the lane as well pumping on their chests as ND inbounded the ball and raced down the court in a 4 on 2 situation.  Darn good thing we were up 20!

How in the world do you get a breakaway dunk, and have the opposing team fast break and beat your team for a layup?  Unreal.
