Announcers kept harping on MU's "no catch/no help" defense.   Didn't allow Abromaitis or Hansbrough to catch the ball in rhythm and never helped off of them.   Other guys from ND missed some open looks early and it just kind of snowballed in our favor.   ND does not have great size or particularly great athletes, though.   Bunch of Bucky types.   Positive signs, though.

+1 Yes, defensive energy was much better, and job done on Abomaitis and Hansbrough was awesome. I'm not sure who was on them all night, but I think Jimmy was on Abromaitis and, on the radio, it sounded like Buzz said DJO was on Hansbrough, although there was most likely some switching with substitutions. Great job - way to follow an effective game plan.

The weakest part of the defense was Blue trying to decide when and how hard to double.   Gave up a couple cheapies with weak double teams.

Glad to hear the boys defensive effort was much better!

Kudos Buzz and the boys, keep it up.
