Since it seems a consensus that we may have trouble rebounding today, I sure hope we use Ox more minutes today than his current about 9 per game. I did a little analysis on Otule and Ox on some of their stats this year--per 40 minutes:

FG% FT% Reb. PF Assists TO's Blks. Steals  Points
Ox        .609  .700 10.4 5.4  1.8     2.6  1.5    1.1       28.3
Otule    .680  .500  8.3   7     .6     2.5  4.2      .8       15.1

We definitely need the Ox in there more minutes--he almost doubles Otule in points per 40 minutes. Admittedly, neither could go 40 minutes. I do like Otule's shot blocking for D.

If Pitt has a bunch of underneath monsters, we will need these guys to step up today.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

It's Saturday. Everyone who's going to use their big today, raise your hand.

I would actually like to see the Ox set some high picks, and for the dribbler to reverse it to him when Pitt screen switches for a pick and pop for three, ala Phil Jackson's teams in the triangle.  He has a nice shot and that gives Pitt some pause on defense when they try to physical our guards.

And I would like to see Heide Klum prancing around my house in a french maid outfit.

Do you have any stats regarding how many points are given up because of defensive lapses by each player?  With Buzz being the stat freak, I am pretty sure that he has a good reason for how he divides playing time for his bigs.

You may laugh now, but the Ox is the New Age Kinsella  ;)

I'm not sure Ox will be good for more than 8-10 minutes today. This isn't old Pitt, these are the top two scoring teams in the conference. This will probably be a fast up and down game that won't suit his conditioning. Maybe in the second half, but unless we play slowdown, I doubt he'll get a lot of time.

The 2006-07 Kinsella highlight montage is pretty awesome.  I just found it.  I swear.  I really don't watch it on a daily basis.

Pitt is very efficient on D but they don't play fast. 249th in Adjusted tempo.

It will be interesting to see if Buzz goes small and seldom uses Fulce/Otule/Ox this game or he tries to combat Pitt's rebounding by ensuring those three are always on the floor.

I would like to see one of those three in the game at all times but who knows?  Maybe going small has its advantages against Pitt since we cannot possibly matchup against their size anyways.

ha ha.  Putting Kinsella on the arc for that Pitt game may have been CTC's best coaching move.  We need a redux today.  Get ready to launch it, Oxi Clean!
