Anybody know a lot about Vandy or seen them play?

I checked their web site and see they are 9-2 with a win against UNC. Their roster lists 15 players with 10 of them at 6'7" or better, so it looks like it could be a tough reboundung night for us. They also appear to be a good shooting team, 48% and 38% from three point.

Don't see us matching up too well for them, but does anybody have some good insight?
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

Mr. Nielsen

This would be a huge win for MU on the road. I watch Vandy off and on three times this year. I would think MU would be a 7 point dog in this game.
If we are all thinking alike, we're not thinking at all. It's OK to disagree. Just don't be disagreeable.

Since theres a decent amount of downtime - MU bball wise - any chance we could get a "preview" from the CrackedSidewalks crew/Dr. Blackheart!?

(sorry to throw you guys under the bus, but i like reading your stuff - deal with it)
The "average fan" is an idiot.

MarquetteDano

Only watched them for one half this year but I don't remember them being that good of an offensive rebounding team, which is good for us.  Looking at Pomeroy, they are ranked 122nd in offensive rebounding.  That is good news.

One thing I do remember is they like to shoot threes and do it pretty well.  That is bad news for our perimeter defense which hasn't been great this year with our rotations.  We are 260th in three point defense, according to Pomeroy.

Oh, and when the time comes for "Vandy Famous Alum"...can we please leave Jay Cutler off of it...THAT GUY SUCKS.

Packers playoffs begin this week!

But can we include: Earl Bennett, Chris Williams, Hunter Hillenmeyer, or DJ Moore?

Sucks? He's already in the playoffs. Aaron and the Rodgers are slim to even make the playoffs.

Festus Ezeli is going to be a load for us to deal with. I think we have to focus on keeping the ball in Jenkins' hands. He likes to shoot, and likes to fill up the scoresheet, but it's interesting to note that his two highest scoring performances of the year are also the only two games Vandy lost. Keep them shooting from the perimeter and keep the ball away from Ezeli and Taylor. It will lead to longer rebounds and chances in transition. I really think we need Otule to log some serious minutes in this game. He's our best defensive option against them, I just hope he can hold onto the ball once he gets it in his hands.

PGsHeroes32

Its going to be just another game of the same. We will compete for a while, Vandy will go on a big run, everyone will think we have lost then somehow we make some unexpected late game comeback with a chance to tie or take the lead late. Usually we fail in this situations every damn time but hopefully this one we pull out.

I can almost gurantee it goes down something like that though.
