Not a cheer per se, but I've always thought that passing out kazoos at a game would be awesome. I suppose that idea has already been blown away by vuvuzelas (literally) but it could make quite a racket in a closed arena.

This is your Yankee Doodle Dandy theme song but as you listen to this start it out with:  GOLDEN EAGLES WE WILL WIN whoa oh O oh O oh O.... GOLDEN EAGLES we will WIN whoa oh O oh O oh O...  Whoa oh O, etc............. instead of Glascow Rangers...  Would be FANTASTIC during warm ups or really anytime you could get the whole student section to do it.

Thought if I posted anything to do with football / soccer no one would even look at it.  There is no question that the best fans / ideas come from overseas.  I have a ton more ideas (rip offs) like this.  Many are really simple.

Old school but we never do it.

...  clap / clap / clap clap clap -  Marquette.....   This one everyone needs to put their hands above their head in a V every time they say Marquette.  If everyone rasies thier hands each time Marquette is said its adds a ton to the atmosphere.  Link....

I think it would be really cool if the student section sang, "Hundred Bottles of Beer on the Wall" thoroughout the game.
"Give 'Em Hell, Al"

Like some of the ideas in this thread, just wish the implementation was easier.  Right now a lot of the cheers are watered down and boring. Nothing can kill a crowd like a good "G-O, Go MU Go.." *clap clap clap* cheer, or "Let's go let's go blue and gold."

Come on now.  The only ones I like that are done currently, are We Are Marquette, the native American chanting cheer with the stomp (which can actually get quite loud), and any natural noisemaking cheer with the entire student section jumping up and down. Oh, and "steal it, steal it", but I haven't heard that one much this year.  I just think we've spread ourselves too thin, and 75% of the cheers are lame. No other way to describe them. I really think we need to default to "We Are Marquette" A LOT more often.  Just look at Cameron. They default to the "Let's go Duke" chant with the two claps and a fist pump. It's simple, effective, loud, and everyone knows it.

Call and response is a great way to go though. It flows naturally. Brees was inspired by a trip to the U.S. Marine base in Guantanamo Bay and it spawned his use of pre game chants.
