It's Buycks.  No 'e.'

Listening to the pregame show, it was pretty clear that Buzz wants Buycks to start at PG. Whether he's doing that to motivate Junior, I don't know. Last year a lot of people thought he was nuts for starting two dwarfs in the backcourt and that worked out pretty well for him so I'm going to trust that Buzz knows what he's doing. I also don't understand all the dislike for Buycks on here.

He played PG in junior college...he was recruited as a PG here...but had to play a lot of off-guard last year.  Maybe if his role is more as a distributor and not having to worry about scoring as much, that he'll be more productive.  Everyone is excited about Junior, but Junior has very little experience.  At least Bucyks has some.  At the very least he will be given every opportunity to prove that he has earned the position.

I foresee Blue becoming our shutdown defender. His offense might not show up until a year of BE play, but his defense is already stellar and he takes great pride in it. last year we had trouble matching up because of our size but this year should be much improved in that area.

I hope you're right. (and I agree)

It will be nice to have a "stopper" like that - fresh off the bench - once we get into Big East play.

really? For students to have the lower bowl filled and more in the upper deck for an exh. game. You should be happy, that's a good thing!

Somehow I doubt Friday night will be that much better.
