Playing in-state schools

Looks like Notre Dame is catching the same garbage that we caught when we weren't scheduling in-state schools.  Granted UWM, UW-M and UWGB aren't Purdue, I4 and Butler but still...

and it looks like at least one in-state reporter thinks that the WI schools should play each other in a tournament like this going forward.  I'm not opposed to the tournament, but the seat allotment and revenue sharing I'd not be too happy with when we're obviously bringing significantly more to the table:

Milwaukee and Green Bay already play twice as members of the Horizon League, but, unless there's some archaic NCAA rule, why couldn't the two teams also play a nonconference game?

Surprisingly enough, there is some archaic NCAA rule preventing that game.  That guy didn't even try to do research.

MU and UW already play every year in front of sold out crowds.  Why would you add UWGB and UWM to that mix?  It's not as though it would bring additional revenue.

You could have the first round matchup between UWGB and UWM be an actaul conference game. The trouble with that is that MU and UW would then face in the first round. But then we be at least guaranteed a game against UW.

When I first heard about the IN in state tourney I immediately considered who the four would be in WI.  After MU and the Badgers things drop off pretty quickly.  I would rather watch in IN tourney in terms of top tier teams...

It's not a tournament in Indiana, just a double header.  A one day event, basically.

As a MU fan, I personally would have no interest in watching Wisco play UWM or UWGB. I have a feeling that I'm not alone on that. I also have a feeling that Badger fans would feel the same way about watching MU play either of those other schools.
