Schedule for 2025-26

2 games vs:
Pitt (12-3)
L'ville (11-4)
Providence (7-7)

No games vs:
Cincinnati (1-13)
St. John's (6-9)

Obviously not a favorable schedule for purposes of winning the conference, but probably helps the RPI.  What is more important, a better conference record or a higher SOS?

Louisville got to play Cinci, St. Johns and USF twice.  They have two more conference wins than us, but as far as I can tell, most pundits think higher of MU.  I think as long as you can get to 9 or 10 BE wins, SOS is more important come the dance.

Louisville played us twice, so I think they must not have played one of those teams twice.

And our only games with Georgetwon and ND were on the road.  I don't think anyone had a harder Big East schedule.

Sorry I meant USF twice.  The other two were once.

According to the Big East Basketball report's conference RPI and SOS calculation, MU is #2 in SOS behind Villanova.  The teams above us in BE standings?
Pitt - #5
G'Town - #12
Louisville - #8
ND - #13
'Cuse - #14

Even with conference SOS factored in, we're still #4 in conference RPI behind Georgetown, Pitt, and UL.
