This guy thinks of MU as a 'heavyweight'.    Let the senseless debating begin.

He also considers New Mexico is a heavyweight.

"2011 PG 6'0" Deon Mitchell continued to show why he's a high major.  Marquette's Buzz Williams was the first to recognize him last summer as they made him an offer.  Now the word is out, and his phone will blow up after the live period."

Yup.

That's the Buzz Effect in motion now...yessirrreeeee! lol

#23 player in TX from this list http://rivals.yahoo.com/texashoops/football/recruiting/rankings/rank-2335
SS Marquette

Strokin 3s

To be fair he is the #23 player, not the #23 point guard.

DaCoach

Deon played AAU ball last year for Texas D1 Ambassadors. The team did well and Mitchell was clearly the star. This year he is playing for the same team. His shooting stats are excellent and he appears to have good perimeter accuracy. Here is a link to his 2010 team http://texasbasketballinc.blogspot.com/2010/07/texas-d-1-ambassadors-team-hardge.html. He may well be a future star but he is on the smallish size 5'10'-6'0".
Players win awards but teams win championships

We like good undersized point guards at marquette.

Who can stroke the ball (Diener, Hutchins) and lead the team (Henry, Miller, James).
