Two years ago if I was told that I would have oops I crapped my pants.   Can't believe it's actually come true, at the time Crean had left and Blue was a verbal to UW.   We were fighting all the top dogs for Wilson.

Kudos to Buzz for getting the cream in Wisconsin talent thus far.   He lands Tokoto, he becomes a legend.

Damn, we could make a film about it, but some son of a gun has already locked up the "I am legend", title.

I'm sounding flippant here, but you make a good point.  We had no right to expect this kind of recruiting success for Buzz from the start.  He lost a decent recruiting class that fell apart when he was hired because Crean had left, he filled in with quality players from the JUCO ranks while he began putting together good freshman classes.  It looks to me like Marquette is posed to have consistently solid recruiting and deep rosters like haven't been seen since the McGuire days.  O'Neill had a dynamite first class.  Crean got the three amigos, and then Hayward the next year.  But, I can't remember anyone having this kind of a two year recruiting run in terms of both numbers and quality of recruits, and it doesn't look like its slowing down.  If it doesn't, Buzz will consistent have MU among the top top Big East teams.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Its happening.  We are locking in great players.  We are becoming a program.  From what I have seen, Buzz gets the most out of his players.  And I can't wait to see the product next year.  Something tells me that we will be better this year than we were last year.  Just a hunch.  Can't wait though.

I'm an eternal optimist as well. But Lazar may go down as my favorite ever, we'll miss him deeply. But the Bar is getting higher, let's get there!
It's not about ME,
It's about US.

Yeah, this is really getting exciting. Crean laid the foundation and Buzz appears to be pushing us over the top with consistently landing 3 to 5 star recruits, finding gems in the juco ranks, and getting us in position to have an honest chance (not just a long-shot) at landing top 25 players.

My head spins when I consider all the talent and potential big time players Buzz has already landed. If this keeps up we will soon be able to don the swagger of big time program fans. The "winning is our right, all we have to do is show up, and the coach should be fired if we don't at least make the sweet 16" attitude. It has been a long, long time since those days.

Okay, I know I'm getting ahead of things here, but this is an exciting time for MU basketball.
