Just dawned on me listening to that, I think he could end up being a (non-douche bag) Ron Artest type. That would make for a pretty great career.

Also, nobody thought to ask Wes, and Lazar to talk about the other one having played against one another?

T-Bone

That would have been interesting to here them talk about competing against one another.

Him and Wes Johnson seem to get along well.  After Lazar said he was keeping his number because it was his little brother's favorite number, Johnson said "cute."

I saw someone make a Jared Dudley comparison.

His one-on-one interview is the second video on the page now.  He really goes out of his way several times to mention that both he and Wes Johnson came out of great schools with great coaches that make you work.  nice advertisement, and thanks for the photo - great to see him already in an NBA jersey.
The www.valueaddsports.com analysis of basketball, football and baseball players are intended to neither be too hot or too cold - hundreds immerse themselves in studies of stats not of interest to broader fan bases (too hot), while others still insist on pure observation (too cold).

So surreal and cool!  I can't wait to see Lazar prove the Minnesota fans wrong who were scratching their heads with the pick.

Great interview by Lazar. He is a very polished, upstanding young man. This is great for him and for Marquette. I wish him the best.

He was very complimentary of Marquette.  He's gonna continue to get plenty of support from the MU community in the future.

The T-Wolves are about to get a bigger fan base like the Jazz did last year.

There's a less cut version up on the Wolves site now.

I think Lazar's Shane Battier comparison was a good one.  He specifically said it was because he can guard multiple positions, knock down open shots, and excel in transition.  In other words, he will be a great glue guy in the league, which is extremely valuable.

However, I still resent Shane Battier, because Wade dislocated his shoulder back in '07 going for a loose ball against him, ruining what was becoming a great season for him and the Heat.  They had a legit shot at repeating, or at least making a decent run in the playoffs.

His smarts and his level head will get him so far his rookie season... Not to mention his deadly three ball from the top of the key. Hopefully the timberwolve organization is finally starting to get it so lazar can play for a competitor in the years to come and not a annual top lottery pick team.

mklenn

this was awesome thanks to everyone who posted. lazar just looks more mature, even a little older than he did when i saw him on campus a month ago. can't wait for him to come back to the bradley center!
