He was Duke's 1st JUCO Commit. Came out the other day that he did not meet academic requirements for admisstion to Duke. He is open. Jeff Goodman tweeted that Mich St., Butler, UCLA, Ark., K-State, BC, Arizona St., Villanova, Wash St. have inquired about Felix.

How much easier are MU's academic requirements than Duke's?
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.

Felix (and his Juco coach) deny that it was related to his academics.  Not that you want everyone to go around broadcasting that you're still searching because you couldn't get into a school.  http://www.magicvalley.com/sports/article_4bc2bd7d-4dfa-54fd-92b2-51cfa6d143cf.html

You're kidding, right? Tons of difference. Not even close.

Thankfully, he did not insult us by asking about Duke vs UW - Madison. I mean really! Duke compared with an elite institution like UW -Madison? The ivy of the Kettle Morraine?

You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

This was a very "convenient' failure to qualify after Singler announced he was returning for his senior year. Most feel that Duke would have found a way for him to qualify if Singler was gone.....it has happened in the past.....K is not the saint most people have anointed him to be.

You have to feel bad for the kid because there was no way K would have gone after a JUCO without doing the necessary due diligence......

Duke is a fine school but I am certain it will accomodate the odd basketball player. Let me ask if anyone thinks Bobby Hurley majored in theoretical Physics while matriculating at Duke?

GGGG

The story goes that when Johnny Dawkins interviewed at Northwestern, he brought the anonymous HS academic profile of some of the Duke players, such as Corey Magette.  When he was told that NW wouldn't accept those players, he pulled out of the search.  (Which was probably a good thing for NW)
