Consider me a fan of #32 Crowder, Jae already.

Time to recycle those Hayward jerseys!  Thanks, Jae.

Does this mean Len Elmore can call him Jae Cramer?

They say that Jae is in the mold of Lazar anyways, so what the hek.  I like his confidence, but those are some big shoes to fill.  If he is anywhere near the player and person that Lazar is, I will be pleasantly surprised.

Thanks for saving me Jae!  I had an impulse purchase of a Lazar jersey on senior night.

Suffice to say, Jae's not lacking confidence. Considering Lazar is just leaving, he's certainly choosing some big shoes (a big shirt?) to fill, and I hope he can live up to it. I think his recent rise has shown he has the ability to hack it at this level, and my hope is that by the time Jae is done, everyone will feel Marquette somehow cheated their way to getting six years (and some new dreads) out of Lazar Hayward :D

James and Matthews had their numbers taken right away and now Hayward has his number taken after a year.

I don't like Crowder taking Lazar's number, I also didn't like how DJO and Buycks took numbers from Djames and Wesley Matthews.  They should be creative and get their own numbers.

Because Wes was the first guy to wear 23 or DJames was the first guy to wear 1.

Maybe Lazar can leave him an old sweaty headband too.

D James took Todd Townsend's number.

The only thing that makes James, Matthews, and Hayward special is that they are top 10 all time scorers.  I think they should get a 2 year grace period or something out of respect.

EWill taking Burke's number is more acceptable.

I'll be so pissed if Vander takes Mo's number.  Completely disrespectful.

Maybe the NCAA should pass a rule that there are no longer numbers on the uniforms but two letters....many more combinations, and one can get real creative, like FU, or IP,

Let's see how the refs deal with that one.

I think the jersey numbering system should include 3 numbers across the back - lots of opportunities to not repeat a number, OR, better yet, we should used "squared" and "cubed" versions of the two numbers: Like 32 2, or 23.

Hehe.

The Manchild Matthews had a number?
