JUCO question

So I was scrolling through the JUCO All-Americans from previous years (from the Crowder 1st team thread).  I see DJO, Buycks, Fulce, and Butler (Honorable Mention).  The only other name I really recognize is that Maize kid from TN (I think, I didn't double check if they were the same).  Does anyone else recognize any other names?  What is the success rate of JUCO kids to a major conference?  Did we luck out or are they usually ready to play at the next level?

those are off the first 2 years that i recognized. Did anyone else notice to other crowders on last years list? Any relation?

2005-06 class
Lance Stemler - MU and Crean was recruiting him. Novak-like...but really didn't
dominate at the next level.

Gary Wilkinson - Utah State stud who lost to MU inthe first round.

Cyrus Tate - Iowa starter, was a probable NBA draftee

Othello Hunter - isn't he in the NBA now?

Sonny Weems - starred at Arkansas and not sure if he was drafted.

Lawrence Blackledge...Nuff said

One of the "other" Crowders is JAE spelled JOE. He was at South Georgia before going to his current school.

As for the other one, not sure.

The NJCAA names 10 guys to each of the first 3 teams, and 20 honorable mention.  Of the 50 players last year, only 10 went to high major schools....or at least only 10 sophomores, I didn't look at freshman.

DJO - MU
Dwight Buycks - MU
Casey Mitchell - WVU
Jarrid Famous - USF
Marquis Gilstrap - Iowa State
Dwight Hardy - St. John's 
David Tairu - Texas Tech
Lance Jeter - Nebraska
Trevor Mbakwe - Minnesota
Kyle Wright - Providence

Of those, the only ones that didn't truly work out were Mbakwe who we all know about, and Kyle Wright who was a bust and eventually quit the team. 

The others ranged from excellent to non factors.  Gilstrap was an absolute stud.  Famous and Hardy were very good.  Tairu was very productive but played limited minutes.  Jeter played a lot of minutes, but wasn't a huge contributor.  Casey Mitchell didn't do much.

Keep in mind, that the NJCAA is for all JUCOs outside of those in California, which for some reason quit the NJCAA years ago and is now regulated by the CCCAA.  So there is likely some talent that went to major schools missing from this list.  I haven't looked at this years, but in the past couple of years, guys like Roburt Sallie at Memphis and Donte Smith at USC both went to California JUCO's rather than NJCAA schools and have turned out be pretty successful.

One thing worth noting is all 5 of our Juco's were on the all-american team as FR.  which 10 or less make the team.  If you look at the guys that have made NJCAA teams as FR,  I would say the success rate at High Major's is pretty high.

Here I go.  I believe that Crean wanted Stemler very badly as a replacement for Novak.  However, Sampson from Indiana came in and offered and that was all she wrote.  I've always wondered how much that recruiting loss played in the: "It's Indiana, It's Indiana", blurt out by Tommy.

It all worked out (just not well) when Crean got a look at a classmate of Stemler's and offered him a scholarship.  Thus began the legend of:
