Nope...his attempts weren't even as good as other guys' first round makes, but I bet he didn't even think he'd get past the 1st round!

Agreed, good to hear the love. I must admit, I was really hoping the 4th dunker didn't miss because I didn't really wanna see Lazar try to impress in the final

Overall, although his dunks were weak, the event was better than i thought for him

The 3rd place finish also had a lot to do with the other guys wiffing on their attempts.  A few of the guys had people going "OOOOHHH!!!" louder on their missed attempts than when Lazar made his dunks, except maybe the one with the assist from the stands. 

I love Lazar, for sure, but dude is not a dunker.  He represented Marquette well, though, and I'm glad to have seen him in the MU uniform one last time...aside from the All-Star Game, which is a better stage for him to showcase his overall game.

Are you the guy that goes on vacation for 15 days, and only complains it rained once?  Or out to a nice dinner and everything was awesome, but your water glass had too much ice in it?

Seriously, it's a frickin' exhibition event for seniors, yet LOW AND BEHOLD, someone always needs to be a jag about it.

Guys, lay off mudimitri's nuts.  He and I are just being objective.  Lazar is not known for his dunking and there wasn't even a single clip of him from when they showed a bunch of highlight dunks during this past season.

His dunks WERE WEAK when compared to the rest of the competition, but he did the best he could and got third place, but not without the help of other dunkers missing their attempts.  Had they made their ridiculous attempts, Lazar wouldn't have made it out the first round.  No hate.

He still represented Marquette well and I love him for it, and I'm sure mudimitri does too.  No homo.

On another note,I watched last nite from a bar so couldn't hear anything  and wondered if Lazar's dad got any props. The dad from Vermont was all over the screen but if anyone deserves some screen time it is mr.haywood for the fine job he did raising a quality young man.

I dont think I am that guy, but maybe I should re-evaluate. For the record, I love an occassional rain and would kill for a glass filled with ice, i also enjoy long walks on the beach 

Thanks for apologizing, and you are right i was nitpicking because any pub is good pub for the guy, I woulda just rather have seen him in the 3pt contest than the dunk contest and there were probably many more deserving dunkers. Lazar does many things exceptionally well, including dance after an average dunk

A nice little bit of Lazar's character:  After his 2nd dunk (the pass from the stands - ala Fulce's Marquette Madness).  The camera picked up him saying - it was a better pass than dunk, giving credit to the guy passing it to him.
