SH is getting smoked by TX Tech, South FL lost and UConn won a close game I believe. Always interesting to see the relative strength of the different conferences. Hopefully the upper half of the Big East will fare better.

No one is at these games. Does the NIT even make any money?

Hard to say if the NIT teams even give a damn.

USF lost to NC State by 1.  UCONN beat Northeastern by 2.  Seton Hall got crushed.

UConn did just barely win, but they played like they did in the BET.  Like they were just punching the clock and had somewhere they'd all rather be.
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.

I heard somewhere that Kemba Walker told Calhoun he didn't want to play in the NIT. I think most people thought that UConn wouldn't accept the bid to the NIT, so that they won't get embarrassed. At least they didn't lose in the first round.

Nice effort by William & Mary in the NIT tonight

Normally I wouldn't like this, but coming from a guy like Kemba, I take it a little differently.  Normally I would say that a team that underachieved needs to take its lumps, play in the NIT for the school and then can go home. Kemba is embarrassed though. As much as some UConn teams over the years haven't really given a damn (that team that lost to George Mason was one of the top 5 teams of the decade based on talent alone) - you can't blame Kemba for carrying on that tradition.  Aside from Calhoun's famous presser "Everyone quit today... except for Kemba Walker. I am embarrassed to be the coach of this team... except for Kemba Walker," Walker has always been a tough kid who has really played hard despite likely going to the draft..  Sad to see his college career end like that.

After what happened in the Tech/Hall game last night, Hall deserves to have lost the way they did.

I have heard that the preseason NIT now makes the money while the postseason NIT loses money.

Not a very good performance by the Big East so far..with Hall and South Florida losing to teams with only 4 wins in the ACC, and Big 12 - makes me question the strength of the Big East.  Ken Pomroy once again has it right..rates ACC #1, Big 12 # 2, and Big East #3.  In his rankings NCState is 58, South Florida 80.  Texas Tech 68, Seton Hall 70.

With MU and Washingtong 28 and 29...we know we are in for a dogfight once again on Thursday.  Count on it.

Though one TT player has grape nuts
What is up with the below the belt stuff?  Not only Seton Hall (another reason to dislike Gonzalez) but another NIT game.
