I just posted Mark Purdy's article from the San Jose Mercury News.

Here's the segment regarding hotels:

Best hotel assignment: The NCAA Tournament manual usually stipulates that the higher seeds stay at the better hotels. For what it's worth, New Mexico will be at the Convention Center Marriott, and Butler will be at the Fairmont. Four of the other teams will also be staying downtown, with two (Vanderbilt and Montana) at the airport Doubletree.

Butler's staying at the hotel Bill Clinton stayed in while visiting San Jose as President.
He had a phone (aside from the red one) that had a direct link to McDonald's. He did eventually stop by one on a morning jog.

I heard yesterday that they are already leaving today.  Helps that MU is on spring break this week.
