Says he is disappointed as a senior with the kind of career he has had to be, "thrown under the bus."  Are they better without him, or are they playing harder without him?  Love him or hate him, probably hate him, he makes FND better.

PJDunn

Shrek is a great college player.  Ugly as hell, but you can't argue with his talent.

mu-rara

I think the way ND played without him scared the sh*t out of him.

Norm

Where is he quoted saying this?

21Jumpstreet

Was watching PTI and they quoted him and debated the issue.  Not exactly sure where he said it or in what context.

PuertoRicanNightmare

During our game against ND, you could see when he came into the game the other guys weren't exactly anxious to get the ball to him. I think it was a "we're better without you" mentality. Couple that with the fact that, after 15 points and 9 boards in the first half yesterday, he didn't start the 2nd half and you can see a little bit where he's coming from. But I also see where Brey and the team are coming from. He must not be that great a guy for the team to shun him like that. Maybe last night's game will change things.

Man, I just do not know what to make out of this.  A real rarity for me.  There's no arguing about the results the team got once he went out, but man, for a few years there, he was all that kept them from sinking to DePaul land....  This kind of friction between him and his teammates becoming public is a real screwup by Brey.  How could he not see this dispute coming and head it off?

Regardless of how this year ends up, I hope for their own sanity, his teammates realize that five years from now Gody's going to be crowded around at alum functions while most of them will be hearing; "You're tall, did you play basketball?"
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Norm

Still haven't seen this quote anywhere - maybe the PTI guys got it wrong?
