We look like a Bo Ryan team...finding ways to win ugly.  If you told me we shot the ball better from the field than St. John's I'd say you were crazy..but we did. Outrebounded by 10, more turnovers than SJU.  IT was the 3-ball that saved us today.  How else do you explain a game where we win and attempt 18 less field goals..only shot 5-10 from free throw line today..but thankfully St. Johns only was 2-5.  Another game where we make or take more than they attempt.  TOUGH WIN against a home team today.

Great finish at the end, Zar wanted it and carried us. JB needs to put this behind him, cant have missed 1 and 1s by him and Mo

Foreshadowing in the first half when we very easily could have had a repeat of last year's epic whuppin, only to settle for 3's, turn the ball over, and nurse a 10 point lead into halftime.   Anybody who at that point did not see this one being yet another nailbiter just hasn't been paying attention.

bad teams win when they play good, good teams win when they play bad

Absolutely right. Turning a 14 pt lead into 10 was a bad sign. Our last possession of the first half was terrible-like it was just a throw-away possession rather than a chance to seize back the momentum. Oh well, the team pulled it out.

Remember the good ole days when we could solidly win a game by 8-12 pts?  Where are those days anymore??

PGsHeroes32

lets bring those days back tomorrow?

Did anyone happen to hear the stat that MU's 7 losses in Big East play were by a combined 21 points?  I guess we all know there have been close games...but that is pretty remarkable to think our average margin of defeat has been 3 points per game.

It is amazing how many nail-bitter finishes MU has had this year...I think that's why Buzz was so exuberant during the Louisville game..its about the only game in 10 weeks where we could relax and have fun...a crazy season just continues!!

How many BEAST games have we won, by only few points?  We've had a lot of close victories, as well.
All this talk of rights.  So little talk of responsibilities.

PGsHeroes32

yeah we do have alot of close wins but we also have a 30 point blow out of providence which is 9 pts more than the 7 losses and add the 21 pt louisville win, we have 2 wins that are around 15 more than ALL of our losses. That is crazy.

In the Big Apple on the Big Stage in front of a home SJU crowd--the seniors stepped up nicely!  Experience wins in the short tournaments.
