Maybe all the bad things are out of their system.

To win with Butler non-existent the whole game, having 13 ugly turnovers, missing front ends of one and ones and getting killed on the boards by Evans and Brownlee, is a testimony to the team's desire.

Great to see Cubes hit that three, like a dagger, but game too close again for comfort.

I really hope this kid Crowder can control some boards next year, a beat PF would really be nice.

A win is a win, no matter what it looked like.  Good job team.

Glad to escape that game.  Looked like we were circling the drain.

I imagined .. such a wonderful season, then a loss to ND, loss to SJU, and a loss in the NCAA to end the year with a 3 game loser.  That would have sucked donkey balls.

PGsHeroes32

now we can rest easy, we are in forsure now, and now we just go after Nova and try to work up to a 6-7 seed with more wins. Lets go boys.
Lazar picking up where the BIG 3 left off....

The thing this game showed - again - is that not a ton separated us from the S.Halls and St. Johns of the conference. Sure, MU beat them, but every game was close. Instead of saying, like a lot do post-loss, that "we sucked", I'll temper it with a 'the teams were fairly evenly matched' and MU made more big shots at the end to win it.  Missed free throws withstanding. Ugh.

Take a W anytime, any way  ;D

Lets get another one tomorrow!

I suppose.
But then we could just as easily say that not a ton separated us from the Villanovas and West Virginias of the conference.

Regardless, while MU didn't play very well, St. John's deserves at least some credit for forcing MU into a poor showing and playing pretty well themselves, at least for the final 27 minutes.

I'd probably agree with that too, Pakuni. The balance/competition of the conference from top to bott...well, at least to #15...was pretty tight. The better teams usually won, but margin for error is increasingly small.

On to 'nova for redemption.

But is was just enough, all year, to get us into the dance where they didn't, wasn't it?
