Notre Dame 63, MU 60 (OT)

Senior Day had a decidedly dour tone to it for the Marquette Golden Eagles, and for good reason.

Unable to hold a seven-point lead over the final 1 minute 19 seconds, they fell prey to a Carleton Scott three-pointer at the buzzer that sent the game into overtime and were never able to recover, ultimately falling to Notre Dame, 63-60, on Saturday afternoon at the Bradley Center.

Lazar Hayward scored 18 points in his final home game, Jimmy Butler 16 and Darius Johnson-Odom 12 for MU (20-10, 11-7), which lost for just the second time since Jan. 23. The Golden Eagles were out-rebounded by 12, hit just 4 of 23 three-pointers (17.4%) and attemped six fewer free throws (14) than Notre Dame made (20).

sour = as in "it sucked"

or

dour = "harsh, gloomy"

Whether it was purposeful or a typo, both adjectives work here, Todd. :(
