"University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee officials said they had to use pepper spray Thursday to help break up a rally at the campus after some protesters became violent while trying to enter the building that contains the chancellor's office.
...
Students who helped organize the protest said in a statement that officers punched them and described the rally as a peaceful protest of a repressive school administration."

(The Youtube link in the article is pretty funny too!)

the protesters wanted to deliver petitions to the school chancellor. He [University spokesman Tom Luljak] says campus police allowed one person inside, and when she emerged she encouraged everyone to rush the building.

The raw video that TMJ4 put up showed 20 or so students trying to crush their way past 3 officers.

1) That behavior gets you punched.
2) That's not a peaceful protest
3) As a state school, UWM's local administration doesn't have much to do with their tuition increases.

Idiots.

Also, they're freaking out about tuition approaching $8K a year.  OH NOES.

We need to try to get every spare ticket for whenever it is that MU has to play a game in the Cell against them, and then make a big deal about how we're helping prop up their school. :D
