MU B2002

USA is up 6-0 in the 1st.

Finland pulled Kipaarsoff after he gave up 4 in ten minutes, and Backstrom then gave up 2 in 15 seconds.

NICE.

If Finland loses the 3rd place game (which based on this game looks likely), all five Chicago Blackhawks in the Olympics on three different teams will get a medal.

Not sure who you're forgetting, but there are six Hawks in these Games:
Toews, Keith, Seabrook, Kane, Hossa and Kopecky.
Would still all get medals if Finland loses tomorrow. Finland is much better than this, though, so definitely not a sure thing.

My Ducks have an astonishing 9 players in the Olympics.  This has been one boring game to watch other than the first couple of minutes.  Brutal.

Can't wait for Sunday

Anyone thinking the USA men might have a little revenge on their minds for the way the Canadian women gloated on the ice after they won, drinking and smoking cigars in front of everyone?

I'd be more interested in getting revenge for 2002 when the Canadians beat the US in the gold medal game on home ice.

Canadian women deserved to gloat.

I just pray that none of the Hawks get hurt. They have no business being there because it should be an amateur event. I really don't care who wins this silly thing...I just can't wait for it to be over

I'll take that bet....if it's offered.   ;)

I think Kane and crew still have some maturing before they can win the cup.  There's a lot of teams out there that can teach them a thing or two about a 7 game series.

Did anyone else read this sarcastically? Do you think Kobe grits his teeth and digs in to gain respect for the LA Sparks? I highly doubt the men's team cared about the women's.

Except this is the Olympics, not the WNBA. You are playing for your country. People actually follow medal counts and take it pretty personally.

I could give a crap about women's hockey. I do think it would be kind of cool to put Canada in its place though.

Yeah, all of them would still get medals.  Forgot about Kopecky.  They all play for USA (1), Canada (3), and Slovokia (2).
