Yes, it was absolutely the no brainer call.  We got lucky he missed a wide open 3 pointer.  Great win by MU.

I agree, especially when a team is shooting fts as bad as Cinci was.  Very easy to tie on a 3 (they had a great look at one) but much less likely to hit the first, miss the second, and get the putback.

However, I think its a coach's personal preference.  Some do it, some don't.

That said, I'm not going to complain.  Huge W for the blue and gold today.  Need to continue to beat the teams below us in the standings.

also - I don't understand why college teams don't go "2 for 1" at the end of half (games).  We get the ball w/ 60 seconds left...why not get a shot off w/in 15 seconds so you'll have a good chance of getting the ball at the end of the period instead of taking the full 30/35 and then the other team has the last shot.  I have yet to see a team do this in college...

With Cincy being a bad free throw team I would normally agree but with their offensive rebounding one would have to worry about the first FT made and then the rebound off the second miss.  Cincy isn't that great of the three shooting team... they were hot and one point and then cooled off (i.e. came back down to Earth).
