He punked Woodall in the back and gets away with a lot of pushing and shoving under the basket! (Tried uploading the clip but was unsuccessful...happened late second half and the foul on a Pitt player was reviewed by the refs.)

I saw that too. He got in a good shoulder to Woodall's back.

That being said, Lazar is not a dirty player. He definitely does do some pushing and shoving under the basket, but so does every other effective post player. It's the nature of the beast.

Nature of the beast indeed, especially when you are as undersized as he is, you've got to scrap and fight for everything.  I do not condone just laying into someone, but some pushes and such here and there are to be expected.

I thought he was going to get called for a moving screen a few times. There was one possession where he like lunged into two different people setting back to back screens. I think he was getting very frustrated on offense and tried to take it upon himself to get out of his funk. He had a few unlucky bounces on those hook shots he usually makes and it seemed to take him out of his rhythm.

Don't get me wrong: dirty is sometimes necessary in these close games. That is, "dirty" as in blacktop, playground mannerisms. The same "dirty" that can be a misconstrued overagressiveness is effective as a form of intimidation.

That is the "dirty" that's being used to describe Zar.

He let the physical play and some calls get in his head and take him out of his game. That has a hell of a lot to do with going 3-16.

Absolutely LOVE Zar, one of the most unheralded players in MU history when it's all said and done. That being said, he does at times tend to force some things and take some bad shots, and has a REALLY bad habit of short arming everything inside. Not real sure why he does that, if it's habit or intentional, but it's not very effective. He's done that his whole career. The game last year at South Florida when he had a chance ot win it, comes to mind immediately as one he short armed inside.
