I expected them to be given a few points, but not 6.5. That said, I still wouldn't take PITT. I was going to take South Florida last week when I saw the spread, but held off at the last minute. The BC is too dangerous of a place to play for opponents. Anyone feeling lucky tonight one way or another?

BrewCity83

I like MU to win, but I wouldn't bet that they cover.

I love this line.  Take MU and give the 6.5!!!  The odds makers are practically begging people to take Pitt.  While I'm not saying that it's not going to be close I like MU pull away and cover at the end.

ErickJD08

I know they covered against USF but no lead is safe with MU this year.  I would take points.  I hope MU kills though.

Against the spread this year...

                                             H      A
Marquette Golden Eagles  12-6   5-3   7-3

Pittsburgh Panthers (25) 12-8-2 8-4-1 4-4-1

MUFC9295

I've seen different o/u ranging from 129 to 133.5.  Either way, I like this game to end up around 140.

?? how do you figure? If we're giving them 6.5 points it means that they're the "underdog"...

ATWizJr

Even if you subtract the 3 points as the home court advantage we are the favorites.  Should be a an exciting and close game.  And it's on in PVD!!

BrewCity83

I prefer being the favorite.  It suggests that we are more likely to win.

I wouldn't touch this line with a 10 foot pole.

Agreed - Pretty amazing the a Bubble team like MU would be favored by 6.5 over the #18 team in the Nation.  Pomroy has us winning 66-61 and from what I've seen his margin of victory has been pretty accurate.  That said, I'd still stay away from giving Pitt 6.5

Agreed. Its a trap. MU Will cover.

GuyIncognito

As of today, per Chad Millman, we are the 16th best team in the nation as far as covering the spread according to his sweat barometer.

Got at it MU -5 and the over of 133.

That's a solid parlay. Over for sure.
