Which bubble team would you rather play in the first round, Marquette or UCONN?  As a 5 or 6 seed I would hate to draw either team.  Marquette plays more consistent, but UCONN has more  talent.  This year, Marquette has shown that they will be well prepared for any matchup (especially with a few days off)... as an opposing coach would you rather draw Buzz or Calhoun?

I'd rather draw Buzz because if I drew Calhoun I'd be in the NIT.

hahaha good point there

I'd rather draw UCONN than MU.  But I would also want to draw MU instead of Louisville.

Congrats Gumby, you have finally made a valid point.  Thank you for this contribution.  Keep up the good work.  This is not meant to be in teal, either.
"I'm not sure Cadougan would fix the problems on this team. I'm not even convinced he would be better for this team than DeWil is."

I think we need to show some compassion. The man has cancer for pete's sake!

Compassion for what? What does cancer have to do with his players' lack of consistency on the court?

Compassion for Calhoun, sure. But never, ever, ever for his players who've put themselves in this position with their inconsistent play.

Having been to a number of games for both teams (I'm a Connecticut native), I'd say that UConn has the potential to be a much worse team, but also a better team. They rely too much on two/three players (Dyson, Walker, Robinson) and they don't execute in the half-court. Any player on MU can and will contribute (with some exceptions), and we are a very difficult team to match up with. Also, Marquette will always keep themselves in a game and give themselves a chance to win, and deadly 3-point shooting from 5 or 6 different players gives us a chance for a buzzer beater from anyone if necessary.

So, I'd rather pull UConn in a tourney, if only for the potential inconsistency of Calhoun's squad.
