ND playing with tremendous heart (almost like Rudy went there).  Digging deep into their bench.

Samuels is a monster for Louisville.

Headed to 2OT

Agreed. Both ND and The Ville will be very tough for us.

LA

Great game. I thought Sosa's shot was going in at the end of the first OT.

Also, Samuels is going to give us FITS.

I LOVE this conference.  So many great games.

ND is going to run out of players before too long.  Also just heard the announcer reference KenPom.com.  Major props for that.

Never thought I'd say it but go Notre Dame!

There were some questionable calls at the end of regulation going both ways.

I'm hoping we can pressure their guards enough so that they can't get it into Samuels.

So far he has 34 points (incuding 14/17 FTs).

TallTitan34

11 seconds to go in 2OT, Notre Dame down 2 with the ball.

Missed a wide open player under the basket.  WIDE open for 4 whole seconds.

Great game to watch. ND played their hearts out. Samuels single-handedly beat them though while fouling out four ND players.

Freeport Warrior

Great game. Got me wondering, what if we had a guy like Samuels on our team? Final Four?

PGsHeroes32

this is exactly why ND is known around the country as worthless
Lazar picking up where the BIG 3 left off....

Something one of the announcers (I think it was Fraschilla) said right near the end jumped out at me.

When ND was huddling up for their time out before the last possession, they said something to the effect of "And the calmest guy in the building right now is Luke Harangody."  And then it dawned on me.  Ever since I had turned the game on a minute or so into the first OT, I'd barely seen Harangody, and when I had, he was just sitting quietly on the bench.

To draw a comparison, remember Lazar running out to half court and shaking Jimmy like a rag doll after he hit the game winner at UConn?  Or, to draw a more stark comparison, ever seen Lazar's reaction to Frozena doing anything positive in a game?

Let's just say I feel a lot better about being undersized today.

ALSO: Did this game say more about Harangody's value (they fouled four guys out and still had a chance to win in 2 OTs @Louisville without him) or about how crappy Louisville is (they couldn't put away a Harangody-less ND who fouled 4 guys out down the stretch)?

Notre Dame did do something in this game that I've rarely seen them do before - play defense. They also, I believe, lead the BE in assist to turnover ratio, and Jackson did a great job of handling Louisville's press.

reinko

I mean it was exciting, but the refs just took the game over in both OT's.  75% of the possessions ended with FT's.

Boo'erns.
