Wow, just... wow.

I think we get disappointed by the crowds easily because we, the people who post on message boards, are fanatics. Our following of this team is much much stronger than the general student.

That said, I am a freshman in college and if I attended MU I would be in the front row, in the stadium as soon as they would let me. But then again, I am a fanatic.

A little off topic, but what are the rules for transferring into MU? I was accepted as an incoming freshman, but I just couldn't take out that much in loans. My parents have agreed to pay a higher percentage after my sophomore year if grades are up to snuff.

If you are serious about graduating, look into what classes are actually able to transfer. My sister went to UWM and took credits over there that counted but no way in hell would transfer to MU. No point in wasting time in classes that won't matter and cost $$$$

I know this sounds obvious, but get in contact with somebody at the Admissions Office right now. The sooner you do it, the more effectively they can help. They can guide you into choosing the right classes to transfer credits and how best to go about securing financial aid. The number is (414) 288-7302; ask to speak with the counselor who deals with transfers. Good luck!

I think the fact that there is a post complaining about the students
not following the "marquette ways" of the past is b.s. I'm really sorry
a sell-out crowd for a USF isn't enough to you.  But perhaps instead of
blaming the kids who are paying $35,000 a year (not including bar tabs)
to try and carry on your marquette legacy, you should talk to Fr. Wild or
the spirit committee on ways to get the students more involved for
games. Complaining about it on a blog-site is just pointless.

Maybe we should have a meeting at the community center?

It is now Carpenter Tower to distinguish it from Straz Tower, I guess.

Ummm...it's been Carpenter Tower from the very beginning.  It was just called Tower to distinguish it from the long gone academic building, Carpenter Hall.

He was saying they added Carpenter to distinguish it from Straz. I've heard older alums refer to it as Tower (assuming before Straz was converted), and no one ever calls it just Tower anymore.

Wow...I know admission standards are tougher now at MU...I would think that you should be able to do better than this.

RawdogDX

He's close to being right.  Old people complain because they have an exaggerated sense of the greatness of things that happened when they were young.  Not because they want to be young again.

I'm sure that everyone here screemed non-stop even during blow out when they were 20.

Yeah, going to college during the Final 4 year, having classes with D-Wade, with tuition 1/2 of what it is now...plus have a great paying job, no fear of having to pound the pavement for an entry level position...

Send me back to college, pretty please.

A tip of the hat, and a +1 on that front.

I miss college immensely, but not for the reasons you lay out.
