State of the Scoop Address - WOW

I'm probably jumping in where Rocky should tread, but I just noticed there are 999 messages on Scoop, making this #1000.

I'm truly stunned at the success of MUScoop, which opened just 13 days ago.

175 members, ~10 new members/day .. 56 posts/day and climbing (closer to 90 in the past 7 days).

I think that's just amazing for a website that hasn't been around a month.   Ahoya is rapidly being replaced by Scoop.  Great job, Rocky!

-- And of course, kudos to a number of others, like Spiral97, LastWarrior, and NYWarrior, who bring much content to Scoop and start many discussions. -- As well as the traffic we get from CrackedSidewalks.com, which we are ever thankful for!

I'm having a hella day at work, so my posting average will probably go down today.

1000+ post is awesome -- even if I have over 10% of them    That will change soon enough.  The response to the site has been great - keep the suggestions coming, and let me (or any of the Mods) know if you would like to help out in a more "official" capacity (though it's all very casual around here).

For those that like numbers

• We've had around 2000 unique visitors to the site
• We're now averaging slightly over 600 unique visitors per day
• There's an average of 49,000 hits per day
• 6pm CST is our busiest hour, averaging 4127 hits, and 16.9MB transferred

In other good news today, I got a lengthy e-mail from the people that run the computer that MUScoop lives on.  Things have been fairly speedy, but they've recently made some changes, and will be making some more to insure things stay that way - or get faster.

It's been an exciting couple weeks, and I don't expect things to die down anytime in the near future.  Thanks to all!  Go Marquette!
