"meanwhile, Marquette, essentially on par with Nova or Gtown but with 10% of the publicity, pulls out another road win"

Liked his earlier post of "Snopes needs to investigate if Marquette's earlier loss to DePaul actually occurred or if it's just an urban legend." LOL
Once a warrior always a warrior.. even if the feathers must now come with a beak.

Follow-ups to the first tweet:

Quote from: College Hoops Journal@kenpomeroy Marquette is on par with Villanova? No amount of stats you throw my way would make me believe that. Love you work though, Ken!

Quote from: kenpomeroy@CHJournal Understood. But MU played Nova very close for 80 minutes. Plus, Nova D is dangerously close to being "awful". Time will tell...

Gotta agree with CHJ that even though we can play games on the same level as Nova, I don't think we're at Nova's level on a sustained basis.  Maybe not Gtown either given their couple of recent huge home wins (though I'm betting their fans that looked at a three game homestand against Duke, USF and Nova as 2-1 didn't see USF as the loss).

Too bad Pomeroy isn't on the selection committee.

Through Friday, KP's math system has Nova #13 and MU #17.

Unfortunately, it doesn't make me LOL.   :'(

DePaul lost their 5th straight today and have now lost 11 of 12....the one win against us.

And probably will continue to do so barring their game against Rutgers in a week or two.  We knew how bad the loss was at the time; their continued futility doesn't make it any better or worse.

On another note regarding KP, even after the Providence win he has us listed as the 343th least lucky team in the country.  What is interesting in the "luckiest" category is that every team in the top 20 is not a BCS school.  You have to go to #23 in the luck rank to get to a ranked school in Gonzaga.  The next group includes Nova (#32), Temple (#37), and Kentucky (#38).

I still think Kentucky is the most overrated team in the country.  You heard it hear first... they will NOT make it even to the Elite Eight.
