Recap: DePaul

Rosemont, Ill. -- Where did that one rank in the pantheon of tough Marquette University losses for you?

Considering the fact the DePaul Blue Demons entered Wednesday night having lost 24 consecutive Big East games, were playing without their best player in Mac Koshwal and for an interim coach who wasn't even on staff last season, you've probably got to put MU's 51-50 loss at Allstate Arena right at the top of the list.

Luckily for the Golden Eagles there's plenty of basketball yet to be played, but with a road game at No. 5 Syracuse -- a team MU has yet to beat in three tries since joining the Big East -- they nonetheless frittered away a golden opportunity to claw back to the .500 mark heading into it.
