That was a great name.  Only recently have I started calling them "ATM Machines" instead of "TYME Machines".  Everybody knew what I was talking about in Wisconsin when I asked where the nearest TYME machine was, but elsewhere in the country people didn't know what to make of that.

I moved to Boston after undergrad and asked a construction worker on the street if there was a TYME machine somewhere nearby.  He was your stereotypical Southie-type with a thick accent, he looked at me funny and said "What are you, f*&@in Buck Rogers or somethin'?"  I just said "nevermind" and walked away.

I suspect there are a lot of posters here who don't know what a TYME machine was..... :D

Coming from CA, I didn't know what a TYME machine was...much less a bubbler.

Thank you, Milwaukee. Thank you.

I grew up in Milwaukee and never heard TYME machine; in fact, I know what it is but have only ever actually heard people call them ATMs

Do people actually know what the acronym stands for?  Take Your Money Everywhere.

ATM Machine is redundant.

Kind of like RBIs. It already stands for runs (plural) batted in. RBIs, taken literally, is runs batted ins.

Frozen Tundra

Tundra is already Frozen...taken literally, frozen frozen ground
