Now that conference play has started we will begin to see what teams are really made of, yet this year more than recent years it seems as if the Top 4 teams are a tier above what I will call the rest.

The Top 4 teams being Kansas, Texas, Kentucky, and Purdue. Having seen the majority of them play I have come to the realization that if these teams play to their capabilities (yes they won't some games) that they are far and away the 4 #1 seeds for the tournament. Thoughts??

It just seems that this is a down year for college basketball year, period.

Not certain about that. IU may still make a late run, especially if all the players stay on the honor roll.

Uhhh. . . pretty sure there were only 4 teams:

Rockford Peaches, Racine Belles, Kenosha Comets, and South Bend Blue Sox.  ;D

I know he was in a polka band in Home Alone, but I haven't seen Planes Trains and Automobiles in a long time...

EDIT:  I agree with KipsBayEagle...but I also think it's too early to make a call on this yet

NCMUFan

Ah, that was it, thank you for the correction.

Yeah, college football was the same way this year.  No drama.  No real upsets.  Capped off by a poor championship game.

I'm not sure I'd throw Purdue in that group without the PG. A case can certainly be made that there's a falloff from KU, UT and UK to the next tier.

In football's defense, it might have been a little more compelling had McCoy stayed in...
But I agree, I opted for Mad Men over the game.

I know that they suck when it comes to March but I think this Duke team is being overlooked. I know they are ranked #5 right now but no one seems to be talking about them. They are as fast as I have seen them in recent years. I feel they will overtake Purdue at the end of the year, plus they are in a slightly tougher conference.

They'll overtake Purdue by the end of the day.  Boilers are getting their ass whipped in Madison today.
