Hate to say it, but that was on Acker. Dribbled into trouble with the defense not respecting any intention of going to the basket and he dumps it to Butler who is surrounded. Acker's recognition there was putrid.

Clam Crowder

+1 and then he can't make a layup and with DJO and an on fire Hayward God knows what difference that may have made

Somebady should ask: why is numbnuts in there at crunch time?
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

Who do you propose to be in his place???

Buycks was also pretty awful down the stretch. That 3 he missed was wide open and it would have been huge

Funny no mention of the God awful 3 point attempt by Hayward with a minute to go and MU trailing by 4 from 35 feet out.

Games are made up of many plays, one play does not cost a team a game or win, but rather a combination.

You can dissect any game and say THAT PLAY DID IT, but there's no way of knowing.

I would love to know what the plan was, they all looked lost.  Butler looked surprised by the pass from Acker, but it also looked like none of them knew what they were doing in the last 20 seconds.  They certainly didn't look like they were going for a 3 to win it, no screens out high, nothing.

Exactly.  As I have posted before, everyone loves pointing the finger at one player or a single play and fail to remember the outcome is made up of so many things.  I mean what if Scottie Reynolds didn't make that three late in the game?  What happens after that?

We came up big but made some mistakes.  Just accept the fact that Buzz's team will never have a margin for no error team as he says.

Agree that Hayward's shot was not in rhythm and ill advised though it was from 24-25 feet not 35.

My guess is MU was going for a drive and kick (which had been very sucessful during our comeback). Acker penetrated but instead of kicking out fed low to Butler while bringing his man to Jimmy for a double team. Poor decision by Mo.
