When is the NCAA going to get rid of the dinosaur that is the one and one foul shot. It creates unwarranted pressure on a shooter and allows a team playing poorly to foul itself back into a game. Allowing teams to gain advantage by fouling truly is not the spirit of sportsmanship. Two shots for every foul when the minimum is met should be the rule.

The rule is fair to everyone. you either make em or you don't. Teams that are behind are going to foul, regardless of one and one or two shots.

awww poor babies. We wouldn't want any pressure in a sporting event. How 'bout we don't keep score and make sure everyone plays.

Little NBA history: Back in 1966-67, teams had already begun to implement a "Hack-A-Shaq" strategy with Wilt Chamberlain.  It got so bad that there was a rule change mid season to make any intentional off the ball a technical.

I've never understood why this wasn't always the rule with intentional fouls both off and on the ball with limited amount of time left in the game.  You don't even need to treat the foul as a technical, just exactly what it is: an intentional foul which is in the rule book as a foul shot and the ball back.
