Cuz if they do next season and the Redhawks still have this guy, it could be a lot closer than people think:

From Katz:

Biggest surprise player on the national scene: Charles Garcia, Seattle
Scouts have flocked to see the 6-9 junior out of Los Angeles who is averaging 23.3 points and 10.2 boards for the Redhawks. He scored 30 at Portland, 41 at Wofford and 29 against UC Irvine. You will hear more about Garcia as the season progresses.

That's the game that didn't happen this year.  Seattle was supposed to come here, between the FSU and NC State games, but something changed and the game got cancelled.

Okay, thanks bma. I didn't know what happened. I searched for the thread which lead to THIS year's schedule (but alas, no Seattle).

I hope they can make the game up. Seattle has a rich basketball tradition and it's always nice to play a fellow Jesuit school rather than a minor ___________ State school.

Knight...if FBE ever averages 23 and 10, I will eat my shoe.

You act like we lost greg oden or something.

FBE was once again one of Crean's infamous bigs. Our loss is Davidson's gain. ;D

He's just not that good though, for Crean, it would have been a major get.

Right now, he'd be a major get for Buzz as well.

The only active big on our roster is averaging 0.17 ppg and 0.67 rpg.

Frankly, Ben Eze is putting up numbers similar to what Otule gave us before he was injured this year--Otule scores slightly higher, Ben-Eze rebounds a bit more, minutes/fouls/blocks/assists/turnovers about the same.  Similary, both were coming off injuries--Otule to his foot, BenEze due to an ACL.

Incidentally, BenEze was available when Buzz was looking to replace Tyshawn Taylor and Nick Williams, instead signing with Davidson.

Frankly, I can't argue given the circumstances of today. We could use some beef off the bench. FBE seems more than serviceable.
