i think we can all agree that he played pretty horrible in the first half (stupid passes, poor D)

but in the second half he really really picked his game up and helped our team to victory. i am proud of him.

i hope he plays like that every game from now on and he will be a real asset

Pakuni

I could live with his worthless contribution of 11 points and 5 steals on a nightly basis.

Did you by any chance substitute your turkey with crow tonight?  ;D

Not sure what game you were watching, but I was there in person. To describe that level of play as worthless just shows either a. You are ignorant or b. You are an ii,ii troll.

I wasn't able to see the whole game, but from what I saw I noticed the positives Acker provided were his ability to get to the hole on a couple 1-4 set ups- including a critical one near the end which seemed to put the nail in the coffin- and he seemed to leak out and lead the fast break well. Mo's quickness was pretty evident in the one on one situations where he was able to make good dribble drive plays to the hole and finish. However, he will need to cut down on to's, 4 in 25 minutes is not acceptable for a pg or anyone for that matter.

I believe that there was a vein of sarcasm in his post. Notice that he said he was proud of Acker for his contribution. He also said that Acker was a real asset. The title was making light of the recent flurry of criticism Acker has received on this board, which has proven so far to be a bunch of crap. jennings, I believe, was trying to stick up for him.

perhaps you didn't read the post. i said that he played very good in the second half

If you look a bit further down, it was jennings who started a thread "acker is worthless".  The creation of this thread is some kind of apology, I guess.

I was referring to his play in the 1st half.

didn't you see the two or three times where he made bone headed plays and just threw the ball right to the other team for turnovers?? it was driving me crazy

Regardless of how crazy it drove you, perhaps you should allow a player to finish the game before deeming him worthless  ::)

Nonetheless, I agree with flyer, Acker was critical to MU's success yesterday.  He could have improved on TOs, but otherwise played a good game.

Perhaps more telling is that Naivin hasn't been around gloating about how right he was about out backcourt being useless.

jenningstoMU

because no packer fan ever utters "man, the line is worthless" after yet another sack

also, no bears fan say "cutler is garbage" after another 5 int game...

give me a break. fans say things during games out of frustration all the time. we aren't talking about little leaguers here, i think these guys have thick skin

Then the same should go for you, don't you think. If you want to spout about a player being "worthless" then surely you can't complain when it bites you in the rear and other fans are happy to remind you of it.
