Brett Favre’s middle name is Lorenzo
« on: November 22, 2009, 08:42:45 PM »
I did not know that until today.

Oh, and it is getting harder and harder to watch Brett Lorenzo Favre playing so ridiculously well for another team.

I was not all that bothered when Packers officials chose to separate from Favre, especially given Favre’s retirement indecisiveness and recurring, teary goodbyes.

His stint with the New York Jets was a sideshow.

His stint with Minnesota, however, is increasingly difficult to watch.

I am surprised at how hard it has become to see Favre tearing it up while sporting Vikings purple and gold.

Packer fans should stop worrying about Favre and realize that they have a pretty damn good quarterback to cheer for.

Aaron Rodgers will be a very good qb for the Pack.  TT made the right call.

It is hard to watch the ViQueens win, no matter who is qb.  It brings the uber-obnoxious JB type fans out.  (The fans who probably don't show when the Queens suck).

BF is in a perfect situation.  He has AP AD keeping defenses honest, and a good line in front of him.   ARod would be ripping it up if he had the Queens line in front of him.

This is true. Who cares what Favre is doing? Nothing could be more meaningless or unimportant.  He's playing well and that's great for him and the Vikings, but the fact is the Packers have a QB playing just as well, who happens to be 14 years younger. When all the Favre stuff happened, Rodgers was a year out from Free Agency. Had Favre not left, they would have lost Rodgers. Had they lost Rodgers, who know who the Packers QB would be right now, and into the next several years. On the results side, with Favre, the Packers would have been bad last year, and mediocre this year. Seems to me it worked out just fine for all parties.
