Lance Stephenson cleared to play for Cincinnati. No games missed. This guy can score more than Wade. UC could challenge for Big East title IMHO.

You're high if you think Stephenson can score more than Wade.  Stephenson might be an amazing NBA player someday, but right now Wade is 10x the player he is.

Or he could be a coach/team/season killer.  His reputation to this point is well-deserved.

Sophomore year then (since he didn't play Freshman year because of academic troubles):
17.8 PPG. He also averaged 6.6 rebounds per game and 3.4 assists per game.  That's an impressive all-around game to match up to.

Edit:  I just looked the guy up

"He had some off-court issues though after being charged with sexual assault on a 17-year-old girl. Stephenson later agreed to a plea deal to a charge of misdemeanor disorderly conduct and didn't serve jail time."

WTF Cincinnati... who in the world wants a guy like this on campus?!

Out goes Nancy Zimpher and Cincy basketball promptly returns to form

in a league like the BE it would take one hell of a player to singlehandedly put a team into title contention. I don't know anything about this kid so maybe he could do it. I am a bit skeptical though.

I'll eat my hat if Cincy wins the Big East title this year.  With no pepper nor salt.  However, if Stephenson is as good as they are saying, the NCAA tourney may not be out of the question.

not too sure about title contention but they do have experienced talent in Vaughn and a few others along with a very highly regrded PG that they have lacked who sat out last year with an injury ala Junior cadougan

Cincy was going to be much improved even without Stepehnson.  Certainly will contend for a top 4 BE slot.

As a 17 year old, he was touted as someone who could already be a star in the NBA. From a Dime Mag story, "Ever since he first burst onto the scene as a 14-year-old, stories have come in from the playgrounds of NYC of Lance giving legit pros and ex-pros the business, everyone from Jamal Crawford to Joe Forte." He may have a rocky past (and somewhat present), but this guy is incredibly talented, and if he works at it can help Cincinnati really make some noise in the BE.

Being able to score more than Wade does not make him better than Wade. They use to say the best defender against Michael Jordon was Dean Smith, because he held him to 23 points a game. You can problably say the same thing about Crean/Wade. It would not surprise me to see Stephenson score more than Wade. I also believe Cincy was going to be better this year without Stephenson and they will be very good if he fits in. Remember Wade did not play his freshmen year and would not have been drafted. Stepheson will be gone after this year.

Lance Stephenson can't make Cincinnati that much better
Cincinnati blows, and will blow. Just my opinion.

I think you answered your own question.

HAHAHA The ill-fated "Criminals" sign. 15 minutes to make, 15 seconds to be taken away.

Classic!

As much as I wish it weren't true, I think that this is a very real possibility, but I think Cuse could be very good too and probably better than Cincy, the pre-season loss could wake them up.
