Another tidbit at the end of the first one about replacing Myles Brand:
QuoteThe NCAA on Thursday also put in place a six-member committee to select a successor to the late Myles Brand as NCAA president. The group will be led by Oregon State president Ed Ray and is to meet Thursday night.

Ray replaces Georgia president Michael Adams, who is leaving immediately as the board's executive committee chairman. Adams is believed to be a top candidate for the NCAA president's job.

It may be good for the NCAA in general, but Im not sure its so great for Marquette. Buzz obviously has the black card when it comes to his recruiting budget and as long as its not illegal, I'm sure this is one of the ways he is expanding our recruiting reach.  Like that coach said it levels the playing field a bit, and spending money seems to be the least of our concerns in landing a player. I think I recall Buzz doing some coaches clinic for the benefit of Pinkston's high school AD. Obviously he wouldn't be spending that time/money if it wasn't for a recruit. Im glad we have stayed away from the package deals so far, not sure about the working camps stuff.

I'm looking at it from a holistic point of view.  Too much nonsense going on with recruiting when handlers are paid off or given jobs on the staff, at clinics, etc.
