  Might not mean much...depends on the specific terms of the agreement.  Believe it or not, I have heard of a coach that was signed through the 2016-17 season, then pulled a Trevor Mbakwe (Miami Dade version) and skipped town in the middle of the night many years prior to the end of the 'contract'.

Yeah, but Gonzalez doesn't value family as much. Certainly doesn't have a cute little reminder in the foyer of his house for all to see. And, without a doubt, Bobby hasn't been able to clean out the horse apples from the stable of his NBA stud on a daily basis.

I didn't realize it meant more if you bailed on a 5 year contract vs a 9 year contract...either way, someone is left in a lurch.
