Gotta think UW is in pretty good shape with him.  I guess the saga was fun while it lasted...

What's the advantage to declaring in August before taking more officials?  Just to avoid kids in school hassling him about where he's going to go, or is there a procedural reason it'd be helpful?

Sorry about the bad link.

If he's ready to commit to UW, whats the point of taking any visits?

dsfire

To be sure he really wants to go to UW?

He may have already determined that...you never know.  He went to both the UW Advanced Camp, and UW Team Camp this summer, and is taking summer school classes.

Realistically...why not take all of the officials? Not just for Blue, but any recruit. In essence, it is 5 all expenses paid vacations to places that want you to go to school there.  I dont know about anyone else, but I would definately take advantage of that!

Did I miss something?  I didn't really read anything in that article stating Blue to UW was a done deal.  ?-(

He said he may commit in late July or early August, that would mean he wouldn't have taken any official visits.  If he doesn't feel the need to take any official visits, its easy to surmise that UW could be the favorite.

I think it says something, that he went to both UW camps earlier this year, he is taking summer classes (something that he needed to do if he wanted to go to UW) and that Howard Moore has the full court press on him.

He also said he may wait until November, after taking some official visits...so you never know.

I hope he comes to Marquette so we can just chant your my boy blue.  And get a lot of oldschool references going on during games.

He could have attended those camps because they were close and it was high quality basketball.  I just hope he takes his time and makes a good decisions.

Is he a one and done type player?

He might have wanted to go to UW all along, but with what happened back in May wanted the UW staff to show him the love all over again.

I'm assuming besides UW, that Blue also made an unofficial visit to MU?  Any other schools Blue make unofficial visits to?

If you're in summer school, chances are you're not going cross country, or cross state even, to go to a summer basketball camp (none less two camps).

He probably got mad, like teenage boys can do, when told he had to get the work done in the classroom.  His initial decommit may have been an emotional decision, but now that he's thought about it he's come back around to realizing that UW is where he wants to be.

Hey, I'd rather have him at MU but if he feels best at UW then he should go there.

Based on what I read in that article, it sounds to me that it's just as likely that he will commit to Marquette as Wisconsin if he commits this summer.  Heck, he's playing for a Milwaukee AAU team.  I'm sure he's spent plenty of unofficial time around MU with his buddy Jeronne.

I'd like to hear an opinion from Mark Miller or someone who actually talked to him recently.

I may be wrong, but isn't this kinda like the Wes-Keaton situation back a few years ago?  Everyone at MU expecting Keaton to come here because Wes did?  I dunno.

Silky

Or maybe other influences are directing him to UW when he really wants to go elsewhere.  This is a very difficult decision for any 16 or 17 year old.  Go where your parents want or where you want?

Never know though.  Buzz is on plenty of good players!

Nankivil was a star in Madison looking at both programs and ended up choosing his school based upon parental wishes. Now, he's in that dreaded land of "potential" where the odds are he'll be just a program player and not a feature player.

Not sure there is a more relevant example then that for Blue to look at.

The line between "going where your parents want" and how much a kid of that age relies on his parent's advice can sometimes be a hard one to determine.  If Blue thinks UW is the best place for him...good.  I wish him all the success in the world except for that one day a year they play Marquette.

Wouldn't surprise me if he goes out of state.

Wouldn't surprise me if he ends up at UW-Madison.  I just didn't read anything in that article that would make me draw that conclusion.

Put 2 and 2 together...

While it isnt in black and white...it's not hard to draw conclusions based on what Blue/Kincade said about their potential timelines.
